Facilities

All sport requires appropriate facilities.

VTARA Sports expertise lies in assessing the needs for sports development for the community as a whole at both the elite and community levels and, most importantly, the linkages between these two essential elements of sport.

Facilities need to be well designed, soundly constructed and well managed according to the most modern technology.

We are then able to provide advice on the development of appropriate facilities and the associated human infrastructure for a successful broad sports system to deliver the facilities and program necessary to address these defined needs.

We are able to raise finance for and take equity in sports and related facilities and to ensure that facilities built are appropriate to their purpose and are built to a satisfactory standard of construction at economical cost and, once built, are managed through the computerized management system.

Design

Good design is the start of any successful project. Sports facilities must be appropriate rather than elaborate, provide what athletes need and be designed for convenience. They must be flexible to cater for different needs, including both high performance athletes and the general community. They must be safe and easy to maintain. All these elements start with good design.

Construction

Quality construction leads to optimum usage. Use of the latest technologies provides value for money. Good construction lasts and minimises future management costs. It looks to the future, allowing possibilities for future expansion.

 Management

The effective use of facilities requires effective management. Facilities are only as good as the management structures that underpin them. Management needs to be centrally controlled but locally applied. Modern computerised management systems allow timely reporting to allow rapid intervention.
